Voter Registration

April 6, 2026, is the last day to register to vote for the May 5, 2026 County Primary.

Voter registration does not automatically transfer if a person moves from one county to another county. You must be registered to vote in Cocke County by the voter registration deadline.

Make sure you are registered to vote by using the TN Voter Registration Lookup from the Tennessee Secretary of State or by calling our office at 423-623-2042. Look up your voter registration status, make sure your Cocke County address is current, and determine your county voting district.

Absentee By-Mail Voting

Application for Absentee By-Mail Ballot for May County Primary (pdf). For the May Primary, the election commission will accept a completed Application for Absentee By-Mail Ballot through April 25, 2026. Applicants MUST select a Party Primary for the May election application. Voters must complete a new Application for Absentee By-Mail Ballot before each election.

Unless you are on the permanent absentee voting register, enrolled in the Safe at Home program, or you have previously voted in the county of registration, you must appear in-person to vote in the first election after you have registered by-mail or online at GoVoteTN.gov.
